Potential Sites for the Family Reunion

The Olson Reunion Planning Committee discussed and researched a variety of sites for the family reunion. On the basis of accessibility, amenities, lodging, ability to effectively accomodate large groups, and other factors, the Committee narrowed the field to the top three candidates: Whistler, Jackson Hole / Yellowstone / Grand Tetons, and Breckenridge.

After tallying the votes and reviewing the comments from the questionnaire, a decision will be made regarding the best location for the reunion and this web site will be used to coordinate travel plans and other reunion details. We welcome any and all input and look forward to hearing from you!

Click on any of the links below for more information on any of the three candidates.

Whistler

"I can attest it is a great spot with a variety of accomodations, from the Shoestring Lodge to the sky is the limit! ... the air is fresh, the lakes are clean and it really is a neat summer place. " Constance Brissenden

"There is a major airport in Vancouver or it is a 4 hour drive from Seattle .... Great facilities, truly world class everything and price points to keep the tightest of us Olsons content .... It really is amazing, and best in August." Ron Cook

Jackson Hole / Yellowstone / Grand Tetons

"If the reunion is held in Yellowstone, you will want to bring your hiking shoes and prepare for the experience of a lifetime." Collin Olson Starkweather

"From the Flagg Ranch, you would have access to a variety of activities in both Grand Teton Park and Yellowstone." John Olson

Breckenridge

"... there are numerous things to do in Breck: flyfishing, golf, hiking, horseback riding, great shops, antiques, restaurants, etc. The thing that I like about Breckenridge is the character of the town and the variety of things to do." John Olson

"Transportation from the Denver International Airport is easy with Breckenridge located about two hours from DIA along I-70 and shuttles available ...." Collin Olson Starkweather
